//I. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during
the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the
facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of DRMS. Graham Roberts of Trapper
Mining Inc. represented the operator. Photographs taken during the inspection are attached to the end
of this report. With the operator's consent,this report was issued from the Denver office of DRMS.
Two draglines were active in F-pit. Snow cover limited inspection of ditches, culverts, and ponds.
Backfillias and Gradina
Ash continues to be placed in the upper part of the ash disposal area. Recently dumped piles await re-
grading into a lift. No problems were evident in the area. The toe at the north end of the ash disposal
area impounds water upstream from the outfall in Middle Pyeatt drainage. Middle Pyeatt has not
discharged in recent years.
c.
Sk,
Photo 1 —Recently dumped ash in the upper part of the ash disposal area,awaiting incorporation into a
lift.
3
