NOCBY MOONTBIN
MITIMILS & BSPRILT INC.
1910 Rand Avenue
Colorado Springs, CO 80906
Exhibit D
Reclamation Plan
I a. As mentioned in the mining plan, the material extracted from the site will be
used as construction aggregate. The first 6 to 8 feet of material may no be
suitable for asphalt or concrete production. This material, as well as other
suitable fill material will be used to backfill the mined area. Backfilling will be
conducted concurrently with the mining. As soon as the useable material has
been extracted, backfilling can start.
1 b. Final reclamation will be returned to the pre-mining grade. There will not be
any slopes left as a result of the mining.
1 c. This site will not require any re-vegetation. The final reclamation will return
the site to stockpile area for industrial uses for our asphalt and concrete plants.
1 d. Additional ponds and roads will not be required as part of this plan. The site
is already established as an industrial use. Existing facilities will be used at the
site and will continue after mining is complete.
1 e. The site will be returned to its pre-mining use. Sediment control structures are
part of the existing, current use and will remain in use after reclamation is
complete.
2. The maximum disturbance that may occur at the site is 9.9 acres at a depth of
30 to 40 feet. This will result in the removal of approximately 400,000 c/yds.
of material. It is expected that typical disturbance will be around 2 acres at a
time. This is due to the fact that backfilling will begin as soon as the usable
material has been removed. It is expected that the division would calculate the
reclamation based on the maximum amount of disturbance. That calculation
could be reduced based on the fact that reclamation must be conducted
concurrently with mining in order to maintain adequate stockpile space for
other materials needed to produce asphalt and concrete.
Phone 473-3100 • Fax
