The plants will remain onsite throughout the
mining, as well as, after mining is complete. The mined area will be returned to
its pre-mining grade and will be used for stockpile area.
Exhibit C, Mining Plan:
The mining plan has been rewritten in accordance with the rule. Exhibit F, List of other permits and licenses required:
All exhibits have been labeled, as well as, the additional permits that are included
in Exhibit F.
This information should cover all of your concerns as stated in the adequacy letter. As
well, the letter of receipt for the application package mentions that the operator must
contact the Department of Health, water quality control division regarding stormwater
permits. We have done so on a couple of occasions in the past. I have attached their
1996 response that states that a stormwater discharge permit is not required for the site
as there is no discharge from the site. The same discussion was had in 2006. Again, it
was determined that the permit is not necessary as all stormwater is detained on the site
and allowed to percolate.
473-3100 • Fax 473-31
