Addendum to Geotechnical Data Report <br />Bowie Resources, Limited <br />July 2002 <br />u-clamps are attached to the galvanized steel cable every 1 to 2 feet. The purpose of the <br />u-clamps is to improve the bond with the Portland cement. The coaxial cable is attached to <br />the steel cable about 5 feet below the estimated failure surface with black electrical tape. The <br />coaxial cable extends about 5 feet above ground. The PVC sheath extends 2 to 3 feet above <br />ground and the galvanized steel cable extends about 25 to 30 feet above ground. Details for <br />an inclinometer are shown on Figure 4. <br />Where a piezometer was installed in the same boring as an inclinometer, then the procedure <br />for installing a piezometer as described in Section 2.3 was followed and the backfill <br />procedure for the inclinometer previously provided was modified accordingly. Details for a <br />combined piezometer/inclinometer are shown on Figure 5. A summary of the inclinometer <br />installations is presented in Table 2.3 and the influence zones are shown in section on Figure <br />6.
