Geotechnical Data Report Bruce Park Dam
Bowie Resources, Limited
1 April 2001
downstream limit of the slide area is approximately 100 feet upstream of the right abutment
of the main dam. Based on data from the State Engineer's Office slope movement was first
noticed during inspections in the 1950s, with small movements generally occurring each
spring. The first significant movement occurred in 1983 and 1984 and had an estimated
horizontal displacement of 103 feet where the slide reaches the water line of the reservoir. It
is believed the slide mass is 5 to 20 deep and moving along the contact with the Mesa Verde
Formation.
0)

GEI Consultants, Inc. 15 99292 01-0416Geotechnical Data Report
