dENISONI)II
MINES
February 13, 2009
Helen Mary Johnson
Bureau of Land Management
San Juan Public Lands Office
15 Burnett Court
Durango, Colorado 81301
Re: Drilling Notification for Sunday Mines Complex, COC 52049.
Dear Helen Mary:
Denison Mines (USA) Corp.
105017th Street, Suke 950
Denver, CO 60265
USA
Tel : 303 628-7796
Fax : 303 389.4125
www.denisonrMnes.com
In the original Plan of Operations (PO) submittal to the BLM, Denison proposed 30 drill holes in addition to
providing areas of low, medium, and high density for future drilling. Due to the time frames required to amend
the PO over the past two years, and an inability to conduct exploration drilling, Denison is behind in mine
evaluation and planning. The PO provides for up to 60 exploration drill holes per year, with the resulting
exploration disturbance limited to a total maximum disturbance (pads and roads) of up to 10 acres at any given
time. Because Denison has been unable to conduct exploration drilling during the past 2 years of mining
activity, an increased amount of exploration drilling is needed this year.
Denison hopes to complete it's drilling in 2 phases with the first phase consisting of drilling 19 of the originally
proposed 30 holes (see enclosed Figure l0A). The remaining 11 of those holes are no longer needed as we have
mined past their locations. Phase 2 of Denison's 2009 drilling will consist of 41 additional holes as shown on
Figure 10A (enclosed). Disturbed areas are outlined in the following table:
For ease of reference, survey areas for cultural resources are shown on Figure 10B (also enclosed); however,
because of the sensitive nature of the information on this map, it is marked confidential.
