The Division has no adequacy review questions concerning this report.
2007 Bi-Annual Subsidence Reports
Observations made during the Spring 2007 and Fall 2007 visual monitoring reports confirmed that cracks
first noted during 2004, 2005 and 2006 continue to heal. A large slide in Freeman Gulch occurred around
the first of July 2007, probably due to mining activities in the B-6 longwall panel. No impacts to the
hydrologic regime were observed.
Included in the report were the subsidence monument surveys. As before, the data show that the
subsidence magnitudes are less than the predicted maximum subsidence magnitudes for single-seam and
double-seam mining.
The Division has no adequacy review questions concerning this report.
If you have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
dJeph eJDjash
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Jim Stover P.E.
