Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase =19 be in the . A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for.tif files on yesur computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or'Taint" and they do not with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does worll:. DBMS has determined that a program called "Ir6aView", which can be downloaded from hfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be coulfgared as your defauh .tif viewer. DRMS does not sgpport or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuiekView Autorun, which runs the QuickVww setup program, has also been copied to this CD. Uthe Autorun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the Quic)Wiew program. Imiructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us. The Permit Mle document images cam be viewed la the reception area of the DRMS otlllce or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase tort covers the time and labor of making the CD.
