The purpose of the inspection will be to evaluate
reclamation at the site, for a Phase 2 bond release application. The focus of evaluation for Phase 2
bond release is on topsoil replacement and soil stabilization. Approval of a Phase 2 bond release does
not constitute final bond release; the Division maintains jurisdiction for Phase 2 release areas until final
(Phase 3) bond release has been approved. Rule 3.03.2(2) of the Rules and Regulations of the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining requires that you be notified prior to the
inspection, so that you may attend the inspection. If you wish to attend the inspection, please contact
me for specific details.
If you do wish to attend the inspection, or if you need additional information, please contact me by
phone at (970) 242-5025, or via email (www.daniel.mathewskstate.co.us), or FAX (970) 241-1516.
Sincerely,
aniel T.
