Failure to include <br />candidate species could result in mine closure if the species is listed in the future. There have been a couple of lease modifications changing the permit boundary. Please <br />review and update, as necessary, all maps showing the permit boundary to indicate the <br />current boundary. <br />Rule 3.02.2(4) - Performance Bond Updates <br />14. The Division is required to review the amount of the bond for a permit area at permit <br />mid-terms and at permit renewal. The attached cost estimate has been completed for the <br />Elk Creek and Sanborn Creek Mine's Permit Renewal 05. The estimate is 100 tasks (a <br />summary sheet and tasks 00a-130) and represents anew liability of $4,008,068.00. This <br />new liability is an increase of $134,745.00 over the current liability of $3,873,914.00 and <br />an increase of $96,022.00 over the current bond held of $3,912,042.00. <br />This estimate is an update of costs since the 2006 Midterm Review, dated 11 April 2006. <br />Additionally, all the reclamation cost estimates for the Minor Revisions and Technical <br />Revisions that have been approved since the 2006 Midterm Review have been updated <br />and included in this estimate. These Revisions include MR-78, 79, 80 and 81 and TR-54, <br />56, 57 and 58. <br />The increase in the mine's liability is due to equipment and material cost increases since <br />the last reclamation cost estimate calculation. No other inputs have been changed.
