F
containment system insures that even in a FEMA projected 100 year flood there
would not be a cause for concern with a fuel spill or downstream pollution of the
waters of the Yampa. Mr. Currier's report also comments that even the base
elevation of the concrete pad on which the fuel tank sits is higher than FEMA's
projected flood water elevation.
Recently adopted county regulations require that the Applicants enter into
a development agreement with Routt County preserving an appropriately sized
parcel of land located within 5 miles of the pit from future residential or
commercial development. The Applicants intend to discuss this requirement
with County staff in order to ascertain the details of such agreement, as applied
to the proposed expansion area, which is partly owned by the State.
Additionally, the actual number of acres of surface disturbance will not be
determined until discussions are finalized with the gas and electric utility line
owners concerning relocation.
Precision Excavating and Camilletti and Sons look forward to explaining
this proposal in detail to staff, the Planning Commission, the Board and the
general public and answering any questions which may arise.
Very truly yours,
?hn A.
