Mr. Jim Stover, P.E.
February 11, 2009
Page 3
(DOW) and the most recent DOW letter for your review. This Item remains
to be resolved at this time.
57. DRMS request for additional PHC analysis and evaluation, to address potential
impacts associated with TR-16 proposed facilities, overlapped to an extent with
DOW concerns referenced in Item 52. Resolution of this item is pending input
from, and further discussion with DOW regarding amended PHC
assessment.
58. To ensure that the upstream surface water monitoring point (monitoring station
SW-1) is located above all potential surface runoff and mine water discharge,
please relocate the stream sampling site for SW-1 upstream of the gully that
enters East Salt Creek a short distance above the bridge crossing. Please ensure
that all future samples for water quality are collected at this location. Please
update Figure 4.2-2 Water Sampling Locations with the new SW-1 location.
Also update all appropriate maps including Figure 2.2-2 Surface Facilities
with the specific location of the mine water discharge point(s) to McClane
Creek or the ephemeral drainage that flows to East Salt Creek.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
M i aAd R &1Y
Michael P.
