<br />Proposed Trapper Mine Plan for 5 Year Permit Term 2008-2012
<br />Dear Moffat County Commissioners:
<br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33,
<br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on February 9, 2009, a permit revision application
<br />for a permit to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-1981-010 by Trapper Mining, Inc., was considered
<br />complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Coal
<br />Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal
<br />Mining initiate from this date of filing.
<br />Trapper has provided updated mine plan for the 5-year permit term, 2008-2012. This plan includes East Ashmore,
<br />Flintlock, East Ashmore, (Z), Gatling, and the new Kimber Pits. Ash disposal will continue in the Ash disposal
<br />pit. Two fills are proposed, Horses fill and Buttress fill. An additional 312 acres of new disturbance is proposed
<br />within the current permit area.
<br />The surface coal mining operation is located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, Colorado. The permit
<br />area is further described as follows:
<br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
<br />Portions of Sections 30 and 31, Township 6th North, Range 90 West of the 6th P.M.
<br />Portions of Sections 25, 26, 28, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Castor Gulch.
<br />A copy of the revision application is available for public inspection at the Moffat County Commissioners. For
<br />additional information, to provide written comments, or request an informal conference, contact the Division of

<br />within thirty (30) days after the last public notice in the Craig Daily Press.
