Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a Partial Inspection of the Hamilton Mine conducted by Marcia Talvitie of the Colorado
DRMS on 27-Jan-2009 beginning at 4:50 p.m. The operator was not represented during the
inspection. The weather was clear and cold.
Roads
Snow observed during the December inspection appeared to have melted off, but a fresh ''/2" of
snow had fallen the previous night. The road surfaces were frozen and passable to Mine Area 3,
although a deep muddy spot in the haul road west of Mine Area 1 prevented access to Ponds A
and B.
Fish and Wildlife
Two separate herds of mule deer were observed moving westerly across the haul road west of
Mine Area 1. One herd numbered 12, and the other consisted of 13 deer.
The inspection was completed at 5:10 p.m.
This concludes the December 2008 inspection report for the Hamilton Mine.
Hamilton Mine C-1991-078 27-Jan-2009
