Our services
included observation of riprap placement and geotextile filter fabric placement for general
compliance with the project specifications outlined in the Geotechnical Engineering Report(s)
submitted by Terracon (Project No. 20045300; dated June 2, 2006 along with a clarification
letter dated June 26, 2006). Terracon performed observations on an as-requested basis during
the construction activities performed by Scott Contracting.
As recommended in the geotechnical engineering report, the riprap appeared to be uniformly
placed on the embankment and was placed upon a non-woven geotextile separator fabric
specified for the project. The existing slope (where required) appeared to have been re-graded
to the specified slope inclination of approximately 2-1/2 to 1 (H to V). A final walk through was
performed at the site on October 2, 2007 with representatives from Terracon, Carroll and
Lange, Carma, and Scott Contracting present. It was determined that the riprap was placed in
general accordance with the specifications outlined in the referenced geotechnical report
prepared by Terracon.
This letter is prepared for the exclusive use and reliance of our client. Use or reliance by any
other party is prohibited without the written authorization of our client and Terracon. Reliance
on this letter by the client and all authorized parties will be subject to the terms, conditions and
limitations stated in the proposal, report and Terracon's Terms and Conditions. The limitation
of liability defined in the Terms and Conditions is the aggregate limit of Terracon's liability to the
client and all relying parties.
Delivering Success for Clients and Employees Since 1965
More Than 80 Offices Nationwide
