a
0
Ul
Evergreen Analytical, Inc. Date: 19-Dec-08
Lab Order: 08-8652
Client Project ID CASE NARRATIVE
SAMPLE RECEIVING
Sample(s) were hand delivered to the laboratory by the client.
Custody seals were not present.
The temperature of the sample(s) upon arrival was 4.2 °C.
Sample(s) were received in good condition, in the proper container, and within holding times.
The Ammonia and Radium sample(s) were preserved properly.
The LIMS default sample collection time of 0000 (midnight) is listed on the reports because there is no
sample collection time specified on the chain-of-custody (COC) for sample 08-8652-04. NJO/TP
QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA)
Analyses performed on samples in this work order by EAL meet the requirements of the EAL Quality
Assurance Program unless otherwise explained. Analyses of discharge samples meet the requirements
of 40 CFR Part 136 unless otherwise explained. TP
CLIENT SERVICES
The metal, alkalinity, and anion analytes were selected per the quotation. There are no other anomalies
to report. EKH
GENERAL CHEMISTRY
The Anion samples 08-8652 had high conductivity and high Chloride levels and needed diluting. This
raised the reporting limit for Nitrate-N (-02 and -04) and Nitrite-N (-01, -02, -03, and -04). There are
no other anomalies to report. BNP/MM
METALS ANALYSIS
Method 200.7: The matrix spike and matrix spike duplicate (MS/MSD, 08-8652-01 ) recoveries for
sodium and the matrix spike (MS) for calcium are outside the QC limits, due to the high concentration
of these minerals in the sample versus the low concentration of the spike. The matrix spikes
(MS/MSD, 08-8652-01) recoveries for barium and silver are below the QC limits; this is assumed due
to possible sample matrix interference. The RPDs for these analytes are within QC limits and all
laboratory control spike (LCS) recoveries are within QC limits, showing the analyses are in control.
There are no other anomalies to report.
