Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. (HGTI) has provided the Division with the fourth quarter 2008 pond
inspection report for Hayden Gulch Loadout (DRMS Permit No. C 1992-081). Two ponds exist on the
permit area, Truck Loop Pond (001) and Rail Loop Pond (002). The report was received by the Division
on January 22, 2009. Both the Truck Loop pond (Outfall 001A) and the Rail Loop pond (Outfall 002A)
were inspected by HGTI on October 8, 2008. The fourth quarter 2008 pond inspection report indicates a
very small seep at the culvert is still occurring at the Truck Loop Pond culvert. HGTI states that the
operator will continue monitor the seepage at the Truck Loop Pond culvert. The Rail Loop Pond was dry
at the time of the inspection. These reports are in compliance with Rule 4.05.9(17).
Thank you for the timely submittal of the Fourth Quarter Pond Inspection Reports.
Sincerely,
Janet H.
