C-81-008 by Western
Fuels-Colorado (WFC) in Nucla, Co.
ear: Sirs:`
I am writing this letter as a formal protest to the application for a Technical Revision to the New .
Iforizon Mine Permit No. C-81-008 Section 2.05..4(2)e. This Technical revision covers the
change in Success Standards in Irrigated pasture"from a standard to a reference area.
We are objecting to what the revision actually contains and the properties involved. I have
bought many 100's of tons of alfalfa hay from the Morgan property which is the property this
revision affects, This property is prime alfalfa farmland not pasture-lands. The reason I buy J
.from-them is they sell dairy quality alfalfa with No grass. This alfalfa is very high protein
3
content and it is the only -straight Alfalfa that I kmow of sold in this part of the country. I, along
with many others have bought this hay for many years. I feel very strong that the land needs
to be put back in the condition that it is or better. The production of straight alfalfa is very
limited in thi&arewand-we need`f6lie"hb*to-keep buyuig -,IM B '--from tfie:Morgan ranch not
a grass mix or just, pasture land where there is little orno production.
We depend on this f
hay every year.
.:l
Thank you, f
I IA14 0 3 2008
:I tv GRMD JUr\iC't'Iiiit t
RECL44A )lVist OF SAF?f CE
Ely
