RULE 2 PERMITS
• 2.04.12 Prime Farmland Investigation
The presence of potential prime or important farmlands within the Collom permit expansion area was
determined based on a reconnaissance inspection and a request by Colowyo to the U.S Department of
Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service (MRCS) in 2002 of prime farmland determination
for the Collom permit expansion area. The land has not historically been used as cropland, and soil
surveys of the area did not designate any soil map units classified as prime or important farmland.
Results of the investigation indicate that all of the area potentially disturbed by surface operations or
associated facilities can be excluded as prime or important farmland. Based upon the information
presented in this section, a negative determination for the existence of prime farmland within the permit
boundary has been concluded.
2.04.13 Annual Reclamation Report
Colowyo has been and will continue to submit annual reclamation reports for all permitted mining areas.
i

Collom - Rule 2, Page 84 Revision Date: 1/23/09
Revision No.: PR-03
