other areas of the Pre-Law lands for which bond release was requested in accordance with applicable
reclamation laws and bond release requirements.
With the exception of the two excluded areas described above, no other problems that would preclude
bond release were identified during the bond release inspection. The Pre-Law lands requested for
bond release have been restored to a stable landform and based on the inspection the reclamation was
successful and complete. The post-mining land use of rangeland with a primary use of livestock
grazing and a secondary use of wildlife habitat have been achieved within the area requested for bond
release. The Pre-Law area is being actively managed for livestock grazing and deer and elk are seen
frequently utilizing the area. Revegetation has been firmly reestablished with a diverse, effective, and
permanent vegetative cover native to the area of land affected by the mining disturbance. The
reclaimed acreages remain in good condition.
Corrective actions will be necessary to secure bond release in the future for PL-1 Channel and Dozer
Track locations. The disturbance at these locations is not significant (a total of 1.39 acres) and these
two areas will be included with the 67.4 acres of the Old Wolf Creek Pit area.
