• Soil amendments cost is derived from current feed store quotations and
testing costs are from a CDM Laboratory Standard Price Liat.
Seed costa are current prices from Native Plants., Inc., Salt Lake City,
Utah. Containerized shrub coat is also from that firm.
Demolition coats were determined from the time estimate it would take to
raze the generator buildling and break up concrete foundations with the D9H tractor.
Concrete foundations would be broken and removed by the tractor, and transported to
the base of existing backslope inside the portal bench for burial by the front-end
loader. The foundation material of the truck scale would be dislodged and broken by
the tractor on its route to the Blue Ribbon Mine site, and would be buried in the
bottom of the scale pit. Concrete and concrete blocks are compatible with the basic
soil and groundwater conditions in the area and would not be unsuitable in the fill.
Steel buildlings, equipment, scales, and supplies are not considered part of the
reclamation process as they would be transferred from the sites for use elsewhere as
an operations cost..
• Culverts at the scale house will be unearthed by the tractor when the
scale pit foundations are disposed. Culverts will be salvaged and removed from the
sites for reuse. Culverts at the mine site will be recovered at appropriate conve-
nient times during backfilling and will be also removed from the site.
The small storage area at the truck scale is half of a railroad box car.
It would be loaded on a flatbed trailer and moved to another location for continued
use during reclamation.
Demolition
Demolish Generator Building and Foundation
Tractor D9H 3'~ hours @ $99.63 = $348.70
Front-end Loader 3 hours @ $52.56 157.68
$506.38
Demolish Office and Shop Foundation
Tractor D9H 2 hours @ $99.63 = $199.26
Front-end Loader 3 hours @ $52.56 157.68
$346.94
114vi (Rev. 4-I6-82)
