CITY OF <br />Grand junction Riverside Parkway <br />C O L O R A D O <br />January 21, 2009 <br />Annual Report for the Riverside Parkway <br />111 Permit Number M-2007-005 <br />JAN 24 2009 <br />Division 04 Raoianlation' <br />Mining and Safety <br />The following report outlines the site operations conducted at this borrow location during 2008. <br />Mining operations: <br />Mining of the borrow source was conducted from January to June of 2007. This included <br />excavation, loading and hauling of on site materials. The borrow materials were placed in the <br />bridge abutment fills located at the 5th Street and the Riverside Parkway. Minor mining <br />operations were completed from June until September 2007. All Mining operations have been <br />completed at the site. <br />The following reclamation actions were completed in 2008: <br />All side slopes were reshaped to 3:1 slopes. <br />3,079 cubic yards of compost material was hauled to the site. This Class A compost material is <br />being hauled from the Mesa County compost facility on an on-going basis. Additional material is <br />planned to be hauled to the site as it becomes available. The reclamation plan for 2009 is to <br />incorporate the compost into the soil and then seed the entire area. <br />Storm water management operation: <br />The current storm water management measures are being maintained at the site.
