No mining is planned within 100 feet of Marc=s house. A large block of
tined coal will remain beneath this house to provide additional long-term
ort for this area. Using a conservative angle of draw of 35 degrees, it was
mined that pillars will not be removed within 300 feet of the footprint of Marc
ford=s home. No mining is planned within 300 feet of John Crawford=s home.
The residence of Marc Crawford obtains its drinking water from a pond which
pproximately 1800' northeast of his house. A buried 2" pipeline runs parallel
buried 10 inch PVC irrigation pipeline for most of its length. It then splits off
nnect to the house about 150' northwest of the house. This pond and pipelines
hown on Map King 1-005. Repairs to these pipelines could quickly be effected
a rented backhoe and either NKC personnel or a local contractor. The 10"
,tion pipeline is only used for irrigation in the warmer months. Should this
ine be damaged, a temporary overland pipeline could be utilized until repairs
complete. If the 2 inch line was damaged, a portable cistern could be placed
lomestic water trucked in until repairs were complete. If the pond were
aged, it would probably need to be re-lined with a custom built liner. This
I require the services of a local contractor with a track hoe or other heavy
>ment. Interim water would need to be provided using a temporary tank. Water
I be hauled by truck to the site. In the event that the underground power line,
rground phone line, or the line connecting the propane tank to the house was
aged due to the effects of subsidence, service would be interrupted briefly until
rs were complete. Temporary overland telephone and propane lines and a
r generator could be installed by the utilities involved. National King Coal
J be responsible for these kinds of repairs.
The residence of John Crawford obtains its drinking water from a pond which
.pproximately 800 feet north of the John Crawford house.
