CDOW has requested <br />that Sage Creek add mountain big sagebrush (Artemisia tridentate Ssp. vaseyana) in the <br />rangeland seed mixture (0.25 PLS/acre). Sage Creek will discuss this request with each <br />surface owner. <br />In accordance with CDOW's mission to promote greater sage grouse habitit, the mountain <br />big sagebrush will be added, at a minimum, to the mixture used to reclaim the sites on StAte <br />of Colorado owned surface: ccu034, ccu035, ccu036, ccu037, ccu041, ccu042 and ccu045. <br />The seed mixtures Sage Creek proposes to use on the private surface have previously been <br />approved by the surface estate owners under access agreement negotiated as part of the 2008 <br />exploration program (approved under X-2009-229-01). <br />6) Threatened or Endangered Species <br />Review by the CDOW did not identify any potentially impacted Threatened or Endangered (T&E) <br />species or associated habitats requiring avoidance or specific mitigation measures. CDOW's <br />consultation is provided in Appendix C. <br />The exploration and reclamation activities will not jeopardize the continued existence of an <br />endangered or threatened species listed pursuant to Section 4 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 <br />(16 U.S.C. 1533) or the Nongame, Endangered or Threatened Species Conservation Act (Section 33- <br />8-101 et. seq.
