under maximum design flow conditions to ensure the flow and pressure necessary for
center-pivot operation can be met by gravity flow from the irrigation storage ponds.
G.2.4 Construction QA/QC Plan
The following is a general summary of proposed construction QA/QC procedures for
pond and pipeline construction. All work shall conform to applicable Federal, State,
and County regulations. Testing procedures will conform to applicable ASTM
standards, as documented in the edition of standards in force at the start of work
(ASTM, 2005 or future annual edition).
On-site inspection of construction activities and quality assurance (QA) testing will
be conducted by a qualified Field Engineer, at key points during construction. The
Field Engineer will be appointed by BMRI. The inspection and QA testing conducted
by the Field Engineer will be performed under the direct supervision of a Professional
Engineer registered in the State of Colorado (Professional Engineer).
Documentation of construction activities and quality assurance testing shall be
recorded in an as-built report prepared by the Professional Engineer. Documentation
shall include obtaining survey and QA information of sufficient detail to prepare as-
built drawings of the constructed works. Documentation will also include
photographs of key construction activities.
Design modifications due to unanticipated site and subsurface conditions may
become necessary, and may range in significance. If modifications to the designs
become necessary, they shall be discussed with BMRI and the Professional Engineer.
Design modifications will be documented in the as-built construction report.
G.3 Ground Water Effects Evaluation
Evaluation of the West Pit backfill water quality showed that the current water
chemistry is effectively the same as water quality prior to mining (Appendices A and
Battle Mountain Resources, Inc. 31
P\PmjwU\2t2-Ne mt(S=Lms)\SmLm\Pnmit A-Ad t- Wen Pit Mamgem AVS Report&PDFs\Tezt\Pe tA-1n-Av5c.dm December 2007
