The irrigation pipeline will convey water from the West Pit to the existing
center pivot irrigation systems at the ranch. In order to provide the capacity to
convey the maximum required irrigation flows of 1,200 gpm and maintain sufficient
discharge pressure at the center pivots (30 psi) under gravity flow conditions, the
current 10-inch diameter pipeline will be modified as necessary to withstand the
designed operating pressures. If sections of the existing pipeline are not capable of
conveying the designed operating pressures, HDPE pipe with variable SDR (SDR 9
to 17) ratings designed to withstand the hydrostatic pressures within the line or in-line
pressure-reducing valves or orifices will be installed to control maximum pressures as
necessary.
Battle Mountain Resources, Inc. 29
P.\Projecls\212-New mt(S=Ltis)\SmLuisTtAmeedoxvl- West Fit Memgem AV5 Report&PDFs\TexAPermilamcnd-t v5c.dm December 2007
