G. Everist, Inc., Fort Lupton Sand and Gravel Mine, M-1999-120, TR-02
Dear Ms. Crosby:
We are writing to respond to the Division's questions posed in the Adequacy Letter noted
above. The questions are regarding the Technical Revision (TR-02) submitted for a change to
the reclamation plan of the Golden Reservoir area of the Fort Lupton Sand and Gravel Mine.
Division Question 1: The reclamation plan notes a 400'x400' future oil and gas location in the
Golden Reservoir. Please explain how the revised slopes to 3h:1 v will impact the proposed oil
and gas pad.
The slopes where the proposed oil and gas operations pad is shown are not changing with
this Technical Revision (TR-02). The area and slopes we are revising in TR-02 are north of
the proposed oil and gas pad and will not impact the proposed pad.
Just for your reference - the 3:1 reclaimed slopes where the proposed oil and gas pad is
shown on the original Exhibit F: Reclamation Plan Map were approved as part of the
amendment to Permit M-1999-120. Also, the oil and gas company approved and signed an
agreement with us for all their current wells and future wells that includes setbacks, the 3:1
slopes, and various relocations (pipelines, etc.). We have a very good working relationship
with them and have already completed some pipeline relocations as per our agreement.
Division Question 2: Please revise the reclamation map to note 3h:1 v slopes in the Golden
Reservoir.
Attached please find the revised Exhibit F. Reclamation Plan Map. The wetlands bench with
its 4:1 slopes has been removed, and the slopes have been changed to the typical 3:1
slopes that are present throughout the rest of the Golden Reservoir.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact me directly at 303-286-2247 or via email at
Imshults@lgeverist.com.
