Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(2) Twentymile Coal Company (TCC) submitted a complete application <br />for Permit Renewal (RN5) on November 27, 2007. The Division has reviewed the renewal application <br />and reviewed the reclamation liability cost estimate. Revisions that have been approved since the 2005 <br />Mid-term review (November 17, 2005) include: <br />MR225 approved: December 5, 2007 18RT Shaft Heater Installation and Operation <br />MR226 approved: January 30, 2008 Geotechnical Testing-Refuse Pile Expansion <br />MR 227 approved: January 11, 2007 6MN Escape Shaft-Temporary Shaft Heaters <br />TR62 approved: February 4, 2008 6MN Reservoir Geotechnical Investigation <br />MR228 approved: June 18, 2008 1ORT Dewatering Well No. 2 <br />MR229 approved: August 15, 2008 18RT Mine Atmosphere Control Borehole <br />TR65 approved: August 22, 2008 Modification to Stoker Coal Handling System <br />TR61 approved: September 16, 2008 6MN Mine Water Storage Reservoir <br />TR64 approved: October 3, 2008 Phase II Development of Western Mining District <br />MR231 approved: November 6, 2008 Zero-Entry waterline Borehole <br />MR232 approved: December 1, 2008 Powerline construction for 6MN Reservoir <br />MR230 approved: December 8, 2008 Mine Dewatering Modification <br />MR233 approved: December 15, 2008 Refuse Pile Clay Staging Area <br />The following comments are a result of the Division's review. <br />1) The Division was unable to find in TLC's Reclamation Cost Estimate (RCE) Appendix A costs to <br />cover the total acreage of the Refuse Disposal Area (RDA). The cost for covering 15 acres of <br />disturbance is included, Appendix. A page 54. However, the acreage of the entire RDA is <br />approximately 58 acres.
