Cattany <br />05 - Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />RE: Bowie No. 1 Mine, Permit No. C-1981-033, Bowie Resources LLC <br />Permit Renewal No. 5, Threatened & Endangered Species Inventory, Request for <br />Assistance - <br />Dear Mr. Johnston: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) is requesting that <br />the Office of Surface Mining (OSM) enter into consultation with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife <br />Service (USFWS) concerning an updated threatened & endangered species report for the <br />Bowie No. 1 Mine. <br />Attached is a copy of the Threatened & Endangered Species Inventory, dated December <br />5, 2007, which was submitted to the Division as part of the adequacy review for Permit <br />Renewal No. 5.
