RN-05 Bonding Schedule The following facilities are being reinstalled as part of the reopening of the New Elk Mine. The facilities are already approved and are covered by a reclamation bond. The purpose of this schedule is to provide information reqarding the replacement facilities and their projected cost of reclamation. EAST PORTAL FAN INSTALLATION. The original East Portal Fan was removed from the permit area. The fan house remains in place adjacent to the air shaft and will be used to house the drive motor and electrical control system for the fan. The building and foundations for the old fan are covered by a reclamation bond. The replacement facilities include the main fan housing for a 96 inch axial vane fan, steel fan duct work including airlock access, steel box structure over the ventilation shaft, explosion doors and automatic closing doors.
