This information is being <br />provided to you prior to a submittal with the County. Please direct any questions on the proposal to <br />the referenced contact(s) in item #2. Prior to any public hearing on this proposal a notification of the <br />time and place of the public hearing will be_sent to the adjacent property owners by the.El Paso <br />County Planning Department. At that time you will be given the El Paso County contact information, <br />the file number and an opportunity to respo.id either for, against or expressing no opinion in writing <br />or in person at the public hearing for this proposal. <br />2. It is requested that Special Use approval be granted to allow the removal of mineral (sand and gravel). <br />5. Access to the site is from State Highway 85-87, which is maintained by Colorado DOT. However, <br />there will be no additional traffic into the site and will result in a reduction of transportation need on <br />State and County roads. There is an existing asphalt production facility with the associated equip- <br />ment on the site. Adjacent to the site to the north is a concrete plant with structures and associated <br />equipment. Both facilities are owned by R(-cky Mountain Materials and Rocky Mountain Premix. <br />The site includes a perimeter fence for security, safety and visibility. There are two electrical towers <br />to the south which will not be impacted by the operation. There are no proposed facilities or struc- <br />tures.
