<br />I, Randal Sunderland, do solemnly swear that I am publisher
<br />of the Delta County Independent; that the same is a weekly news-
<br />paper printed, in whole or in part, and published in the County
<br />of Delta, State of Colorado, continuously and uninterruptedly in
<br />said County of Delta for a period of more than fifty-two consecu-
<br />tive weeks prior to the first publication of the annexed legal notice
<br />or advertisement; that said newspaper has been admitted to the
<br />United States mails as second-class matter under the provisions
<br />of the Act of March 3, 1879, and all amendments thereof, and that
<br />said newspaper is a weekly newspaper duly qualified for publish-

<br />PUBLIC NOTICE-
<br />MINREC, INC., 627 24 1/2 Road,
<br />Unit I, Grand Junction, CO 81505,
<br />has submitted an application for
<br />Renewal of a Valid, Existing Permit to
<br />Conduct Coal Mining in Colorado to
<br />the Division of Reclamation, Mining
<br />and Safety, for its Blue Ribbon Mine,
<br />mining permit No. C-1981-047. The
<br />current mining and reclamation per-
<br />mit expires on December 9, 2007.
<br />The proposed renewal will extend
<br />the mining and reclamation permit
<br />for five years. The Blue Ribbon Mine
<br />is located seven miles northeast of
<br />Paonia, CO, north of Bowie Road,
<br />Section 2, T 13 S, R 91 W, and
<br />Section 35, T 12 S, R 91 W. The
<br />location of the permit area is con-
<br />tained on the U.S. Geological Survey
<br />7.5 minute Bowie, Colorado, quad-
<br />rangle map. A copy of the proposed
<br />renewal application is available
<br />for public inspection at the Paonia
<br />Public Library, 140 Grand Avenue,
<br />Paonia, CO, and at the offices of
<br />the Division of Reclamation, Mining
<br />and Safety. Written comments, objec-
<br />tions, or requests for informal confer-
<br />ence regarding the permit renewal
<br />application may be submitted to and
<br />additional information obtained from
<br />the Division of Reclamation, Mining
<br />and Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room
<br />215, Denver, CO, 80203-2273, phone
<br />(303) 866-3567 and must be received
<br />'- -by-the lWision within 30 days after
<br />final publication of this notice.
