Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has finished its adequacy review of <br />the reclamation cost estimate for Permit Renewal No. 5 for the Blue Ribbon Mine. Attached are the cost <br />estimate worksheets. The worksheets are comprised of one summary sheet and worksheets for tasks nos. <br />001, 002, 005 through 008, 010, 014, 015, 016 and 020. <br />The Blue Ribbon Mine's new liability of $42,065.00 is $3,249.00 more than the previous liability <br />calculated with the 2005 Midterm review, which was $38,816.00. The current liability in the Division's <br />permit system is $46,257.00. This liability has been statutorily set by the bond release process and may not <br />be decreased. The Division currently holds a certificate of deposit in the amount of $48,000.00, which is <br />more than the current calculated liability and more than the statutory liability set through the bond release <br />process. The Blue Ribbon Mine does not need to submit any additional bond monies at this time. <br />Please review the Division's reclamation cost estimate and inform the Division in writing whether or not <br />the cost estimate is acceptable to Minrec. <br />If you have any questions, please call me. <br />Sincerely, <br />tJseph J.
