Mine Development Inc.
Neglected Mine Project
3319 E 4'k Av.
Durango, Colo. 81301
At
J "o r
Re. Reclamation of disturbed area: Technical revision (TR-3)
Dear Mr. Oswald,
RoCEIVED
JAN 13 2009
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
F i ? A v ve"S?o wi ?
04-
At the conclusion of the Neglected Mine Project or the termination of the leaching
portion of the project the following will be done.
All stored chemicals will be removed from the site. There will be no burial of any
bulk chemicals on the site. If any chemicals are left over after the leaching process is
concluded they will either be sold back to the supplier, sold to another operator or taken
to a hazmat center for disposal.
All of the mixing tanks, filters, hoses, piping, pumps, electrical lines, air lines, timber
used for support and foundation etc. will be detoxified and will be removed from the site
via flat bed trailer and pick up truck. The sand and road base material used to cover the
liner will be removed and placed in the existing tailings pond area for reclamation. The
pond liner will be salvaged if possible and if not it will be folded and placed in the
existing tailings pond for reclamation. The berm surrounding the leaching area will be' flattened and graded level. There is no plan at the present to replant this area unless the
entire Neglected Mine project is in reclamation phase, if not this area will be returned to a
storage area for equipment.
I estimate that it will take approx. 4 trips with the pick up and flat bed trailer to
remove the entire leach plant from the site, and an additional day of work with a back hoe
to remove the base material and level the site. Total days needed for reclamation, approx.
(4); estimated total costs for reclamation are between $1500.00 and $2000.00.
If you have any questions please contact me.
Sincerely,
Harold E. Luzar
970-247-1652
12-03-08
