Box 46667 <br />Denver, CO 80201-6667 <br />Re: Edna Strip Mine (Permit No. C-1980-001) <br />Bond Release Application No. 10 (SL-10) <br />Dear Mr. Fulton: <br />Chevron Mining, Inc. has applied for a bond release at the Edna Strip Mine. The bond release <br />application was found complete by this Division on January 5, 2009. Chevron Mining, Inc is <br />requesting a Phase I, II, III bond release of 13.3 acres of land at the Edna Mine. Reclamation activities <br />of these lands took place in 2003. The bond release includes all lands that have been regraded, with <br />drainages re-established in accordance with Edna Mine's approved permit. A reduction of bond <br />amount of $313,093 is requested. The surface ownership is Federal, state and private, and the coal <br />mined was Federal. <br />We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon <br />as it has been scheduled.
