Bond Release Application No. 10 (SL-10)
Dear Mr. Leach,
In accordance with Rule 3.03.2(2) of the Rules and Regulation of the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, the Division is required to conduct a bond release inspection
within 30 days of finding the SL-10 bond release application complete or as soon after, as the Division
determines that weather conditions allow. The Division determined the SL-10 bond release application
to be complete on 05 January 2009. Based upon the snow cover observed during a partial inspection
of the Edna Mine and the bond release area associated with SL-10 conducted on 29 December 2008,
the Division believes that this bond release inspection should be scheduled after the snow pack has
melted.
The Division proposes to schedule the SL-10 bond release inspection during the spring of 2009.
Specific scheduling of the SL-10 bond release inspection date will be dependent upon the weather
conditions.
