subject Cripple Creek and Victor Made by DLG Job No 063-2216
Gold Mining Co.
Ore Loading Near Uncertified Liner Checked by Date 2/912007
Goldff, _ Isolation Fla
Assodam Global Stability Analysis Approved by Sheet No 2 of 2
cos Q = (tan A)/(tan D)
where D is the true dip of the slope, in the direction of maximum dip
A is the apparent dip of the slope, as measured in a vertical plane Q degrees from the angle of
maximum dip, and
Q is the angle (in plan view) between the direction of maximum dip and the direction of apparent
dip.
CALCULATIONS
• A summary of the results and the analysis files are presented in Attachment I a.
CONCLUSIONS
• The ore must be placed such that the slope is perpendicular to the as-built liner grades. This
generally means that the toe of the ore slope needs to be parallel to the liner flap. The ore cannot be
placed in a way such that it is unbuttressed downward in the direction of maximum ore slope.
• Ore placement for the lifts placed directly on the overliner material must proceed from lower
elevations upwards. If ore is placed higher on the slope first, it will result in an un-buttressed
condition, which will have an unacceptably low factor of safety.
• The first lift must be placed at a slope of 2:1 (H:V) and should be 30 feet in height.
• Each subsequent lift may be placed at angle of repose (approximately 38 degrees) and must be no
higher than 50 feet.
• Overall composite slopes must be 2.2:1 (H:V) or shallower.
• SLIDE software and manual
• Golder Associates, March 2000. Amendment No. 8, Office of Mined Land Reclamation Permit M-
80-244.
JAMOBM063-2216 CC&V - LOMDLCiFLAP PROJEMCLOBAL STABIUMDOC
