Bond Release The Division approved a bond liability release (SL-01) on 2,511.7 acres of the Trapper permit area on February 12, 1998. This was a Phase I release of liability for backfilling, grading, and drainage reestablishment. It was Trapper's first bond release. A Phase II bond release (SL-02) covering 1570.5 acres of the Phase I release was approved December 20, 1999. The Division approved a Phase II bond release (SL-03) on 592.7 acres of cropland April 19, 2002. SL-03 was a release of reclamation liability and no monies were returned to the operator. A Phase III Bond Release (SL-04) covering 1857.7 acres of areas reclaimed to rangeland and cropland was approved on November 18, 2003. The Division approved a Phase I bond release (SL-05) for 823.9 acres on June 11, 2004. The Division approved a Phase II bond release (S1-06) for 819.1 acres of area reclaimed to rangeland on October 25, 2005. On July 3, 2006, the Division approved a Phase III bond release (SL-07) covering 185.5 acres of areas reclaimed to cropland and 577.3 acres of areas reclaimed to rangeland. Adjustment of Acreage Discrepancy A 2008 Division review of the actual disturbed area acreage value reported by Trapper Mining Inc. in its 2007 Annual Reclamation Report (TR-101) found a discrepancy with the approved disturbed area acreage value maintained by the Division in its permit system database. It was determined that this discrepancy stemmed from the RN-03/PR-04 Division coding form not reflecting the proposed disturbed area acreage of 1,025 acres. The Division proposes to correct this discrepancy by entering the approved 1,025 disturbed area acreage figure into the Division's permit system database. The approved disturbed area acreage for the Trapper Mine will be increased from 2,601.71 acres (as shown on the 4/24/2008 proposed decision form for TR-102) by 1,025 acres to 3,626.71 acres.
