Approval of RN-01/PR-02 <br />The Division found the submittal for RN-01/PR-02 complete on March 2, 1987 and sent <br />adequacy questions to Trapper on April 30, 1987. Trapper responded to those comments with <br />two sets of responses received by the Division on August 24 and September 1, 1987; revised <br />post-mining topography maps were received on October 9, 1987. The Division sent Trapper <br />follow-up adequacy questions on November 12, 1987 and received responses from Trapper on <br />December 11, 1987. Additional exchanges of comments and responses continued into April <br />1988. RN-0l/PR-02 was approved on April 8, 1988, effective December 31, 1987. <br />RN-02/RN-03 <br />The Division received an application from Trapper for RN-02/PR-03 on July 1, 1992 and found <br />it complete on July 7, 1992. The application was for another 5-year term and mainly addressed <br />new pits and further advancement of pits within the permit area. An additional 1,562 acres were <br />to be disturbed. The Division sent its preliminary adequacy review questions and comments to <br />the Trapper Mine on August 31, 1992 and received responses on October 23, 1992. The <br />Division submitted follow-up questions to Trapper on November 10, 1992 and Trapper <br />responded on January 12, 1992. The follow-up questions were primarily in regard to the Flume <br />Gulch drainage which was designated an alluvial valley floor in the findings document for RN- <br />02/PR-03. The Division approved PR-03 on January 19, 1993 and RN-02 on January 21, 1993 <br />with an effective date of December 31, 1992. <br />RN-03/PR-04 <br />The Division received the RN-03/PR-04 application from Trapper on June 17, 1997 and found it <br />complete on June 20, 1997. The application was for another 5-year term and called for <br />operations to continue generally as they have in the past with the pits advancing eastward within <br />the permit area and disturbing an additional 1,025 acres. The Division sent preliminary adequacy <br />review questions to Trapper on August 21, 1997, and sent two additional questions on October 6, <br />1997. Responses to all of the Division's questions were received by the Division on December <br />17, 1997. The Division then sent two follow-up questions to the operator February 20, 1998 and <br />received responses to those questions on March 16, 1998. Additional revised pages were <br />submitted by TMI on April 14, 1998. The Division approved RN-03/PR-04 on May 13, 1998. <br />The decision became final on July 13, 1998. <br />RN-04/PR-05 <br />The Division received the RN-04/PR-05 application from Trapper on June 25, 2002 and found it <br />complete on July 3, 2002. The Division sent preliminary adequacy review questions to Trapper <br />on August 29, 2002. Trapper submitted information regarding reclamation liability estimates on <br />November 4, 2002. Trapper supplied responses to the Division's preliminary adequacy questions <br />on December 18, 2002. The Division sent a second set of adequacy questions to Trapper on <br />January 10, 2003. The Division met with representatives of Trapper Mine on April 3, 2003 to <br />discuss remaining adequacy concerns. Trapper submitted final adequacy responses on May 29, <br />Trapper Mine 6 July 25, 2008
