Cattany <br />TO <br />D <br />H <br />d Division Director <br />: <br />an <br />ernan <br />ez Natural Resource Trustee <br />FROM: Jim Star ?? <br />SUBJECT: Applicable Bond Amounts for West Elk SL-01 and SL-02 <br />DATE: 6 October 2005 <br />After reviewing the Lone Pine Gulch and Thermal Event Area cost spreadsheet (prepared <br />by the Division on 15 July 2004) and the referenced tasks from the 2004 midterm review <br />cost estimate (completed on 8 March 2004), I have determined that the applicable bond <br />amounts used by Mountain Coal for SL-01 and SL-02 are incorrect. The applicable bond <br />amount for the Lone Pine Gulch area is $204,381.94 and the applicable bond amount for <br />the thermal event area is $132,878.98 (see attached spreadsheets).
