EXHIBIT D 1 of 2
CONSTR&
%
7040 W. Hwy. 160 Alamoss, Co. 81101 (719)589-W1
EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN
(A) Mining will start by removing the topsoil and stockpiling so it will be
available for reclamation. Mining will be performed by using standard
crushing equipment. Jaw and cone crushers along with screening
plants, ground and stacking conveyors will be used to process the pit
run material. 100% of the material obtained from the pit wall can be
processed through our equipment. No waste piles will be generated
from the mining operation.
(B) Earthmoving shall be accomplished using dozers or scrapers to move
the material and wheel loaders to feed the crusher bins, or load pit run
directly into over-the-road trucks.
(C) No water diversion or impoundment's are necessary for this operation.
(D) The total area to be mined is 23.30 acres. The Phase I area will be a
disturbance of 13.88 acres. Phase II will have a disturbance of 9.42
acres. One to five acres would be in process at any one time.
(E). There is no definite timetable at which this project will be finished.
The amount of material that is available could last many years depending
on local market conditions and projects that are available to us.
i. As mining progresses the side slopes will be formed. Topsoil will be
redistributed along 3H to 1V side slopes after the initial pit development
which would be about two years. Topsoil shall be spread a minimum of
once per year to affected areas.
ii. The size of Phase I reclamation will be at 13.88 acres and Phase II
reclamation will be at 9.42 acres
iii. The sequence of reclamation will be :
1. Lay slopes back during extraction at a 3H:1 V slope.
2. Distribute topsoil within one year.
3. Seed following overburden and topsoil distribution, once a sizeable
area - 2-3 acres is ready for seed.
