TR-50 proposed approval decision was issued July 25, 2006. The revision allowed the operator to discontinue
monitoring of four springs and seeps within the permit area.
TR-51 proposed approval decision was issued September 20, 2006. The revision allowed for extension of the
reclamation schedule by one year, to allow for Division review of a postmining land use change permit revision
application applicable to the South Portals area.
TR-52 proposed approval decision was issued July 6, 2007. The revision allowed for extension of the
reclamation schedule for the Unit Train Loadout for one year, to allow time for submittal of a planned
postmining land use change permit revision application applicable to the loadout area.
TR-53 proposed approval decision was issued September 19, 2007. The revision provided clarification and
detail regarding permanent sealing and reclamation of a 4 inch diameter dewatering pipe that extends through
the concrete seal in the South Mine conveyor portal entry. The pipe was a component of the former CDPS
Outfall 001. The revised plan specifies plugging of the pipe with pumped concrete grout, and burial of the
pipe segment out by the concrete seal in the portal backfill.
TR-54 proposed approval decision was issued November 8, 2007. The revision provided updated permit text,
tables, appendices, and map exhibits requested by the Division based on permit review associated with RN-5.
Minor Revisions
MR-70 approval decision was issued October 3, 2005. The revision amended the reclamation plan to address
control of cheatgrass at the North Decline Area, and to allow interseeding and remedial seeding in certain
locations, with specified seed mixtures.
MR-71 approval decision was issued November 18, 2005. The revision replaced Map Exhibit 11 B with an
updated digital format version of the exhibit.
MR-72 approval decision was issued October 4, 2006. The revision modified the seeding rate for North
Decline interseeding conducted in November 2006.
MR-73 approval decision was issued August 23, 2007. The revision incorporated updated permit tables and
map exhibits pertaining to property ownership and non-mine related structures ("man-made features") in the
permit area.
Liability Release Actions
SL-3 proposed approval decision was issued October 31, 2007. The application was a Request for Release
from Liability of Areas Overlying Underground Workings within the C-81-041 permit area. The release
request did not include areas disturbed by mine related facilities or structures, but included lands within the
permit area that had been undermined as well as lands that had not been undermined or otherwise affected by
operations associated with Permit C-81-041. There was no monetary release associated with the liability
release. The SL-3 application requested release from liability for 7,294 acres within the 10,310 acre permit
area. Please refer to the Division's Findings of Compliance document for SL-3, dated October 31, 2007 for
further details.
Permit Renewal No. 5 6 November 16, 2007
