Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for coal <br />mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Snowcap Coal Company, Inc. on June 20, 2007 <br />for the Roadside Portals. In accordance with Rule 2.07.4(2)(c) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by <br />the Division in the The Daily Sentinel. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 5 miles north of Palisade, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, and 35, T1 OS, R98W, 6th PM; Portions of Sections 6, 7, and <br />18, T11S, R97W, 6th PM; Portions of Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, and 14, T11S, R98W, 6th PM; Portions of Section <br />1, TIS, R2E, Ute PM; all in Mesa County. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder.
