<br />The Colorado Division of Rec-
<br />lamation, Mining and Safety pro-
<br />poses to Approve with condl-
<br />tiona Permit Renewal Application
<br />No. 5 (RN-5), submitted by CAM
<br />Mining, LLC for a coal mining
<br />permit at the Munger Canyon
<br />Mine (Permit No. C-1981.020).
<br />The mine is Inactive and largely
<br />reclaimed; the proposed re-
<br />newal will allow for continued
<br />reclamation, monitoring, and
<br />maintenance at the site. No
<br />further coal extraction', waste
<br />disposal or other mining activity
<br />Is proposed or approved. '
<br />The Munger Canyon Mine Is an
<br />underground mine located in
<br />Garfield County, approximately
<br />10 miles north of Loma, Colo-
<br />rado, Colorado. A reclalmed
<br />loodout facility _ mile east of
<br />Loma, In Mesa County is in-
<br />cluded in the Munger Canyon
<br />Permit. Coal interest at this un-
<br />derground mine is Federal, and
<br />the surface to be affected Is,
<br />Private land. The permit area
<br />encompasses approximately
<br />1,028.00 acres:
<br />This proposed decision is based
<br />on a finding. that the proposed
<br />operation will comply with all re-
<br />quirements of the Colorado Sur-
<br />face Coal Miningg Reclamation
<br />Act, Section 34 33 101 at seq.,
<br />C.R.S., and the regulations pro-
<br />mulgated thereunder.
<br />A copy of the "Proposed Deci-
<br />sion and Findings of Compli-
<br />ance",Including any stipulations,
<br />is on file for public inspection at
<br />the Colorado Division of Recla-
<br />mation, Mining and Safety, Room
<br />215 Centennial Building, 1313
<br />Sherman Street, Denver, Colo-
<br />rado 80203, as well as the
<br />Division's Grand Junction office,
<br />101 South 3rd, Suite 301, Grand
<br />Junction, CO 81501, and at the
<br />Mesa County Clerk and
<br />Recorder's Office, 544 Rood,
<br />Grand Junction Colorado. Per-
<br />sons with an interest that may
<br />be.adversely affected by the
<br />proposed decision may request
<br />a formal hearing before the
<br />Mined Land Reclamation Board
<br />on the proposed decision. Such
<br />request must be made within
<br />thirty (30) days of the initial pub-
<br />Iicatlon of this notice, must be in
<br />writing, and must state with rea-
<br />sonable specificity. the reasons
<br />for the request and the oblec-
<br />Nons to the proposed decision.

<br />The Daily Sentinel a daily newspaper, published and duly printed in
<br />The County of Mesa, State of Colorado; that said newspaper has a
<br />general circulation in said County and has been continuously and
<br />uninterruptedly published therein, during a period of at least
<br />fifty-two consecutive weeks next prior to the first publication
<br />of the annexed notice; that said newspaper is a newspaper within the
