Box 20,000 Division Director <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501 Natural Resource Trustee <br />RE: Munger Canyon Mine (Permit No. C-1981-020) <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 5 (RN-5) <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article <br />33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on May 11, 2007, an application to <br />renew an existing permit to conduct coal mining operatons at the Munger Canyon Mine was considered <br />complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface <br />Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />CAM Mining LLC proposes to continue Underground coal mining and /or reclamation operations on land <br />located approximately 18 miles North of Loma, Colorado in Munger Canyon (mine site) and ''h mile east of <br />Loma (rail loadout site). The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Mine Site: Portions of Sections 27, 28, and 29, T7S, R102W, 6`h P.M., all in Garfield <br />County. <br />Rail Loadout: Portions of Section 34, T2N, R3W, Ute P.M; Portions of Section 3, T1N, <br />R3W, Ute P.M., all in Mesa County. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Howard Canyon <br />& Garvey Canyon (Mine Area) and Mack (rail loadout). <br />The application would allow for renewal of a valid existing permit for the Munger Canyon Mine and Loma <br />Loadout, Coal Mining and Reclamation Permit No. C-1981-020. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and <br />Recorder, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO 81501. To provide written comments, or request an informal <br />conference, contact the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567, within thirty days (30) after the last public notice in the "Grand <br />Junction Daily Sentinel".
