MANAGEMENT <br />ci\40 ? a d S ett <br />The DRMS' letter dated July 23, 2008 transmitted its adequacy review for the <br />referenced technical revision. On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) following are <br />its responses to the DRMS' comments and concerns: <br />DRMS - Please depict the proposed route, buried and above ground, and the <br />outfall location of the mine water discharge pipe on Maps Nos. 15-1 and 21-1. <br />BRL - The proposed route for the mine water discharge pipe is shown on new <br />Map No. 41. <br />2. DRMS - Please ensure that there is erosion protection at the mine water discharge <br />pipe outlet. If riprap is to be used, please designate this on Maps Nos. 15-1 and <br />21-I. <br />BRL - The vegetation where the mine water discharge pipe will terminate is <br />judged to be adequate to control erosion. <br />3. DRMS - Please demonstrate that the State Highway 133 ditch and culvert which <br />will receive the mine water discharge can handle the increase in flow proposed in <br />TR-54. Also, please provide documentation that CDOT approves of the proposed <br />increase in flow in the State Highway 133 ditch and culvert. <br />BRL - Enclosed is CDOT Utility Permit # 14217 that allows BRL to "use old <br />irrigation system, including culvert under SH133 to discharge mine water". The <br />18-inch diameter culvert has a rated capacity of 5.75 cfs. The mine water flow will
