This document summarizes our current understanding of the hydrologic
setting associated with the Level 6 portion of the Golden Wonder mine site (M-1978-091 UG). All available,
relevant, and appropriate data were relied upon in order to formulate the conclusions presented within the
document. As we have discussed, there appears to be a significant groundwater source of flows to the waste
rock toe seeps associated with the Level 6 waste rock pad. The results of this study validate those conclusions
using both chemical and physical lines of evidence.
This document is provided in response to our outlined `Proposed Schedule for Deadman Gulch Hydrologic
Studies' Technical Memorandum provided to the BLM in June, 2008. Our recommended next steps are to
complete the Deadman Gulch channel amendment as per the design criteria set forth within the Golden Wonder
Amendment 3 documentation, and continue monitoring the site hydrologic conditions throughout the duration of
the mine life. Once mining has been completed, the waste rock pile will be reclaimed (methods of reclamation
were also described within the Golden Wonder Amendment 3 documentation).
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the attached information, do not hesitate to contact me directly.
I appreciate your feedback on this subject matter.
Sincerely-
Karmen King/Aquatic Toxicologist/GGI
36 W.
