The West <br />Elk Mine is an underground coal mine and the disturbed area covers the life-of-mine facilities area <br />and several remote areas. During the year of 2008, MCC completed 2.0 acres of permanent <br />reclamation which included grading to approximate original contour, seeding, fertilizing, and <br />mulching areas of the methane drainage wells located on West Flatiron, West Bench at MDW <br />locations 19-04, 19-05 and all of panel 21. No roads were reclaimed in 2008. <br />Attached is a two volume report including photographs, text, and maps showing the locations of <br />permanently reclaimed areas in the Dry Fork, Thermal Event, West Flat Iron, and Lone Pine areas. <br />In compliance with the revised Rule 2.04.13(1)(e) a copy of the seed tags and letters of certification <br />for seed mixes utilized in permanent reclamation activities are also attached. <br />Please call me if you have any questions. <br />Sin Y5 <br />Henry .
