(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: - M-9O( 11_n17
INSPECTION DATE: 12/11/?ncg INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: F(-_C
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine site monitoring inspection conducted by DRMS at the Lohmann Sand and Gravel site. The
inspection was conducted by Eric Scott of CDRMS. The DRMS representative met with Lynn Mayer-Shults and
Roger Servold of L.G. Everist at the site at approximately 1015. The site entrance is located off the east side of
Hwy 7 approximately 1 mile south of where it intersects Highway 119 (also known as Firestone Boulevard).
DRMS toured the site with the L.G. Everist representatives. Current activity in the mine consists of mining in the
center of Area B. The office and processing areas of the site are as depicted on the mining plan. Concurrent
reclamation activity in the site appears to be progressing well, especially Area C (French property) which has
been mined out, resloped, topsoiled, and is ready for seeding and mulching.
During the site tour, the mine appeared to be in compliance with the approved mining and reclamation plan.
The only problem noted during the inspection was the (still limited) presence of tamarisk at the site in the south
part of Area B. These noxious plants need to be removed before they become established and widespread. In
areas still to be reclaimed, this could easily be done using a dozer when the area is recontoured or filled. If they
are found in areas where reclamation is essentially complete and vegetation is beginning to establish, other
weed control measures such as spraying or cutting and stump treating may be required. The presence of
Tamarisk is cited as a problem on page 3 of this report along with the corrective actions.
This concluded the inspection and DRMS left the site at approximately 1100.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Lynn Mayer-Shults
OPERATOR: L.G.
