MANAGEMENT
RECEIVED
DEC 12 2000
Division of Keoamad0n,
--,ning-snd-S9etY - -
The DRMS' letter dated December 8, 2008 transmitted its adequacy response for the
referenced permit revision. On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC, "BRL", following are
its responses to the DRMS' comments and concerns.
Item 6 in the adequacy letter requested an update to the probable hydrologic
consequences section of the permit application to include a discussion of the impacts of
the operations proposed in PR-11. As per our discussion this date, the mine plan
revision does not change the amount of water that can be discharged. Therefore the
existing PHC does not change as a result of the mine plan revision in PR-11.
BRL has two technical revisions in progress that do amend the PHC section of the
permit application. The revisions both anticipate increased mine inflow rates as the
mine workings are expanded to the north. TR-54 is a request to discharge 1,000
gallons per minute to the surface. TR-57 is a request to discharge 1,000 gallons per
minute to the old U. S. Steel mine.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
J. E.
